Chad graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture in 1997. After graduation he accepted a position in Little Rock with MESA Landscape Architects. "I dabbled in pottery courses in high school and college and found it very interesting, but never had the opportunity or time to study in depth." In 2001 he began taking pottery courses at the Arkansas Arts Center and rediscovered his love of pottery. Most of his work consists of functional pieces such as bowls, plates, cups, and vases that are finished in high fire glazes. He also works a limited amount with raku and other low fire pottery applications. "In the end i simply try to make art that I can be proud of and that others enjoy."
